Unsi Terrazas Garnacha Blanca de Montaña | Navarre, Spain
Navarra, Spain is a difficult location to grow grapes in due to the brushland and steep terrains. Winemakers ultimately chose to abandon the Grenache vines that are native to this area, and the winemakers at Unsi chose to utilize those vines. This winemaking project aims to recover those old vines while producing fresh, unique, premium wines of the Grenache variety. White Grenache prominently grows in this area, and Garnacha Blanca de Montaña is an amazing example of what this variety can bring. This wine is herbal, medium to full-bodied, medium in acidity, and has aromas of white flowers, herbs, apple, melon and citrus. A great patio pounder and a great wine to drink with food!
